Principle and Target

Kagawa university established The Kagawa University Museum with principle and target such as for Kagawa University and local region cooporate to deepen their understanding from cultural aspect.

1. To make use of education and reserch at Kagawa University, we provide our museum for local reserchers, local history reserchers, elementry, junior high school and high school teachers,curators, and sience volunteers to communicate and study each other. Kagwa museum is 「Education & Reserch 」style.
2. Professors and stuffs of Kagawa University support to reserch activities of local museum,resorce center and also local groups of history, giography,biology, sience,earth sience with our expert knowledge and experiences.Kagawa museum is 「community based museum」
3. Tens of thousands of points of Intellectual property such as specimen,document,invention places great importance on collection, storage and study activities.

Facility

Kagawa University Museum is the frirst floor of No.1 North Campus of Saiwai-cho. There is total 250�u include exhibition room, storage room and practice activity.

1. Collection・Preservation
   We make the list of collections and documents of Kagawa Unuversity ( from all facuity, each departments and laboratories) and open to the public with our webpage. We also collect a specimen and a list which are increasing a number by reserch and study activities of university.We possitivrly accept contribution such as a specimen and a lost from outside of university.
2. Exhibition ・Communicate
   　Beside the basic character of museum such as parmanent collection we also have a individual special exhibition such as study achivement of education by inside of university and cooperate with individual or group of outside of University.
3. Education・Diffusion
   　Thorugh out 「a object」,we provide the oppirtunity for life long study to reserch for the truth.Museum based on 「cooperate and study」,university proffesors,stuffs and volunnters of outside of university are advisors and inside and outside of university students and groups cooperate. Museum prrovides varaiety of them of Museum Lecture.Museum and Education and Research Center for Lifelong Learning Kagawa University cooperate and provide Extention lecture maches a subject of exhibition.

Administration・operation

We use maximize former facilities and minimam runnning cost.Museum cooperate with exsist organaization such as Education and Research Center for Lifelong Learning Kagawa University ,university library and university public relationship department.Museum operates under 「The Kagawa University Museum Agreement」by museum commitee member. Acceptance of Administrator of Absentee's specimens and materials are discussed the right and wrong by museum commitee members at the materrial head meeting.

1928(S3) Sep,12	Commerce Museum was decided to establidh as a Cerabrate the Enthronement.
